Whether you’ve been together for 6 months or 60 years, you share a totally unique bond with your person, and that is something we hope to capture authentically. We are here to photograph you in your most real and raw state: we’re not big fans of posed, forced, or rigid anything. Your session is more than just a photoshoot, it is meant to be an experience! We want you to look back at the pictures and think about how much fun you had with each other, and how connected you felt to one another.
We don’t conduct our couples’ sessions with any sort of agenda. We fully intend to get to know you and make you feel comfortable. We don’t spend the hours before your shoot searching every corner of Pinterest & Instagram for posing inspiration; you are not like any of those couples! Instead, we’ll show up at your session fresh and prepared to prompt you in ways that evoke the natural relationship you share, so we can photograph what makes you YOU.

We’re Phoenix Couple Photographers!
Hi there! If this is your first time meeting us, we are Katie and Joseph, and we are a husband and wife team specializing in documenting couples’ most memorable milestones throughout their life together.
Most of our couples these days work with us from their proposal, to their wedding, and even end up hiring us in the years that follow as they grow their family. It’s an honor to befriend other couples and do life alongside one another. In fact, that’s our biggest goal as photographers— we want you to see us as real friends of yours, because, when this happens, barriers break down, and we’re able to photograph your special moments just a little more honestly.
We got engaged and married in 2020, and have loved every second of working together in the years since! We’ve gotten to travel all over the US to take photos of fun loving couples, but we especially love photographing love in our desert home of Phoenix.
Outside of photography, we love being outside as much as possible, exploring the miles of trails in the area. Our Sundays are spent at church, and then cheering on our beloved Detroit Lions, and in between all the work we do, we love spending as much time with our community as we can. Our friends are so important to us, and they really fuel and grow our marriage too!
Our photography style—
We like to help our couples feel comfortable by establishing this mindset: you are on a date, while we come along and photograph it authentically.
Our photography “style” is very candid. We don’t like fabricated emotion one bit, and that shows in our work. For two people who spend the majority of their life behind a camera, we feel incredibly awkward in front of it. This is why we've designed a system of prompting (rather than stiff posing) our couples to evoke natural emotion and capture the unique love you share. One thing we can guarantee, is that you’ll never be asked to fake laugh for a photo 🤮.
Together, we’ll select a location or two that are special to you, and perhaps even an activity that is significant in your relationship in this present season, to set the scene for the best possible photos. Once we get to your session, we will be focused on documenting the way you authentically interact with and love on each other. If you’re doing some type of activity, which we highly suggest incorporating to make the session feel natural, I’ll be a fly on the wall, taking the whole scene in and capturing it artfully.
All of our sessions will involve a more “formal” photo session time, but that does not have to be anything scary. I will tell you exactly what to do with your hands, and instead of remaining in stiff poses the whole time, I will prompt you to do something silly, sweet, or sentimental instead. This draws your focus onto your partner, rather than the camera, and makes for sweet photos of you two authentically loving each other. Soon you’ll forget all about the camera even being there, as this really is just another date night for you!
Be prepared for all kinds of movement, laughter, and feeling like yourself while we capture your love in its most authentic sense!
