Wolf Lakes Park Fresno Wedding | Brittany & Arty
We weren’t really sure what to expect from our first Fresno wedding, but Brittany & Arty’s day at Wolf Lakes Park really blew all our expectations out of the water.
We met these two last fall at their engagement session in San Luis Obispo, and immediately felt a connection with them. We were crying laughing from the beginning of their shoot and just had the best evening with these two. After meeting some more of their family later in the season, we knew we were in for a great time at their wedding this spring. And it was a great time indeed. We’re not the type to pick “favorite” weddings, but if we did, this one would definitely top the list.
We walked into their wedding day and immediately felt so loved by all of their people. We’ve run in a lot of circles and can confidently say we’ve never had the privilege of spending a day with more kind humans. Arty’s mom sweetly welcomed us to Wolf Lakes Park with “I feel like I’m meeting celebrities!” and from that point, we quickly fit in with their fun, lively group of family and friends.
On top of the incredible people we got to spend the day with was this drop dead gorgeous venue which made us feel like we weren’t even in Fresno to begin with. Wolf Lakes Park is one of the most jaw-dropping, artistically inspiring settings to get married, and we found just about every picturesque corner of this place to incorporate into Brittany & Arty’s day and photos.
The day began in Wolf Lakes Park’s separate getting ready suites, both full of lively discussion and laughter. These two and their people didn’t try to hide any ounce of emotion, instead embracing every wave of it like absolute champs! Once Brittany was ready, she and her dad shared a very emotional first look under the shade of the dense trees at Wolf Lakes Park. After they had time to soak in all the good feelings, Brittany crossed a nearby bridge onto a stunning little island where Arty was waiting. This has become my all time favorite first look I’ve ever witnessed, and you’ll want to keep scrolling to see why. The emotion is so real and makes my heart melt every dang time I look at these sweet photos.
Wolf Lakes Park has several venues inside the larger park, and Brittany & Arty chose the English Garden for their ceremony. The late afternoon sun peeked in through the lush trees and the two said “I do” under the gorgeous arbor as their closest family and friends took in this absolutely life changing moment!! After the ceremony, we headed out to one of the venue’s many lakes to take dockside golden hour photos!
The real fun of their day began as the sun set over Wolf Lakes Park’s pavilion. Hilarious toasts were given by Brittany’s maid of honor and Arty’s best man, before the biggest dance party I’ve seen in forever ensued. We learned of their friend group’s random inside joke song they dance to at every gathering and sang our hearts out with everyone there when the DJ played Mr. Brightside, because, well, duh.
We won’t stop talking about this day or the incredible people who made it so wonderful for a long, long time. We’re honored to call these two lifelong friends, and it was a real privilege to join them at Wolf Lakes Park for their wedding day! Keep scrolling to see these two’s gorgeous wedding gallery!
