Cass House Cayucos Wedding | Laura & Nasim
The bright, sunny vibe at Cayucos’ Cass House matched the kind, warm personalities of Laura, Nasim, and their people.
This was truly a wedding day that went by in the blink of an eye and leaves us smiling BIG to this day. From their incredibly fun bridal party, to their rock star vendor team, to the absolutely gorgeous grounds at the Cass House, this day was picture perfect, and was the best way for these two to embark into marriage.
Laura and Nasim met back in college at Cal Poly, and though their relationship didn’t work out immediately, these two knew they were destined to be together. Things worked out, and after ten years of building a life together in Santa Barbara, Laura, Nasim, and their friends all headed back to San Luis Obispo to finally get these two married! Rather than intensely planning the little details, Laura and Nasim focused on creating a day which truly reflected their two lives coming together, and planned a celebration that none of us will ever forget.
The day began getting ready in the historic Cass House, with the guys hanging out on the balcony overlooking the ocean and the beautifully manicured grounds. Though Laura and Nasim preferred to build the anticipation of seeing each other at the altar, Laura and her father shared a very emotional first look. We hung back and gave Laura and her dad time and space to take in the sweet moment and get Laura ready to walk down the aisle.
We found the most beautiful garage down the street from the Cass House that was straight out of Joanna Gaines’ design repertoire, and took both the bridesmaids and groomsmen to this unique little setting for their portraits. When we say this was the most fun bridal party we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with, we freakin mean it. It was so clear how deeply rooted Laura & Nasim’s relationships are with these people, and we really believe it shows in their photos!!
Their late afternoon ceremony took place in the Cass House’s garden, with the gentle Cayucos sea breeze blowing in around us. Neutral white florals decorated the gazebo as rustic, wooden chairs lined the aisle. The emotions were so palpable during their ceremony, officiated by one of Laura & Nasim’s best friends, and featured so many personal touches, from recounted stories of their life together to their sweet vows. After the newlyweds were announced as husband & wife, they walked down the aisle as biodegradable confetti filled the air. It was STUNNING, y’all!
As golden hour set in, the Cass House’s pavilion was open, revealing rows of beautiful farmhouse tables with a rustic, neutral tablescape. White flowers and greenery mixed with glass candle holders and copper candle sticks was absolute eye candy, the only thing making this space better was seeing it full of people laughing and reminiscing for the first time in a year.
Not a dry eye existed in the pavilion during toasts, as touching stories were told by so many of Laura & Nasim’s closest people. The dance floor then opened up and an absolute party ensued. Laura and Nasim’s people are so fun and we really didn’t want the night to end. These two are such kind people and we will never forget what a wonderful experience we had with them and their friends.
