Modern Barn Wedding at Swallow Creek Ranch | Lisa & Daniel
We’re so unbelievably grateful our last few weddings as residents of San Luis Obispo were at our absolute favorite venues on the Central Coast.
Swallow Creek Ranch is at the top of that list. This place is the ultimate coastal, quaint spot away from all the chaos. And this trip to one of our favorite spots featured one of our favorite couples we’ve ever photographed. We are so blessed, y’all!
You might remember Lisa and Daniel from their jaw dropping engagements last November at Montana de Oro. If you’ve looked through those and noticed any one thing about these two, it’s that they are so in love with each other. We photograph A LOT of love stories, and when the way a couple loves on and interacts with each other leaves an irreplaceable impression on us, we KNOW it’s real. That’s how interacting with Lisa and Daniel has felt every dang time we’ve gotten to. We expected their wedding to be nothing less than this!
And boy oh boy, it was. These two have been doing life as a couple for ten years, and I can only imagine building a life with someone for that long brings with it a load of emotions, especially when you hit as big a milestone as this together. Every ounce of emotion was on display throughout the day, from getting ready time all the way through the end. I felt so wrapped up in every little thing, because these two never once allowed a moment to be mundane. They are all in, when it comes to their family, their friends, and each other. Talk about making the most of the best day of your life!
The biggest core memory I took from Lisa and Daniel’s Swallow Creek Ranch wedding was the line in Lisa’s vows— ““When I first met you, Daniel, I couldn’t help but think that the girl who was going to marry you would be the luckiest girl in the whole world. Never did I imagine that girl would be me.”

I am amazed by these two incredible human beings, and am so grateful that, of all the wedding photographers on the Central Coast, they selected us to spend their day with them. To witness such beautiful words and pure love throughout their day reminded me time and time again why I am so lucky to call this my job. This is certainly a wedding I will never forget.
