A garden themed spring wedding in Arizona—

When we set out to begin our 2026 season, we did so with a deep desire to, more than ever, focus on documenting the humanity that is a wedding day, and less on the soulless facade of perfection we so often see in the wedding industry. We are very fortunate to have found several dozen couples whose vision aligns exactly— people who understand that their photos will likely never see the light of day in a wedding publication, but will absolutely capture the full expression of humanity that is present on their wedding day.

Allow us to introduce you to Brit and Lenny, who were married in April at Gather Estate in Mesa, Arizona. These are two people who place such an emphasis on living in the present, who would rather spend their dear time laughing and hanging out with their friends, who chose to have a full wedding weekend that embodied these very values. Of course, we said yes to their inquiry!

Brit and Lenny wanted to soak up every possible moment they could with their people, who had travelled near and far to spend the weekend with them. Everyone stayed centralized at a local hotel, where we began documenting Brit and Lenny’s day. Two spirited bus rides and some game day photos later, Brit and Lenny arrived at Gather Estate, beyond ready to see each other for the first time. Lenny’s reaction to seeing Brit is one of my favorites I’ve ever documented. When I say his jaw dropped, well, you will just have to keep scrolling to see what I mean.

The gorgeous Gather Estate really does not need much help to look more beautiful, but Brit opted for a draped wedding arch and some accompanying floral arrangements for a very modern, elevated look. One of Brit and Lenny’s best friends performed their ceremony, and many laughs and tears later, they were married! And the part of the day literally everyone had been looking forward to began— the reception.

Drinks and cheers were shared, we were treated to a very colorful Arizona sunset, and then everyone (especially Lenny’s mom) danced the night away under the stars! What. a. day.
