Beach Bonfire Engagement Photos | Allison & Max
Allison & Max asked us if we could be adventurous and try something ~out of the box~ for their engagements.
And our reaction was something along the lines of: đđ„łđđșđ€©đ€©
Beach bonfires at the Pismo Beach drive-on have played a *significant* role in the story of their relationship, so incorporating one into their engagement session was so important to them!!
While we always love pretty engagement photos at one of the Central Coast's number of scenic spots, I think we get more excited about these unique sessions because they deeply reflect the people and the story behind them!
To keep things somewhat classic, we began the session with golden hour and sunset photos at Prefumo Canyon, one of our favorite engagement photo locations in San Luis Obispo (very, very, very beautiful), before we headed to the beach and spent the evening around the campfire with Allison & Max trading stories over beers. This evening is so special to us because we got to connect with these two while doing something they love, and we cannot wait to photograph their wedding in just a few weeks as their friends!!!! (my favorite thing to say hehe)
If you're looking for a sign to do something unique for your engagements, this it IT! There are so many beautiful locations for engagement photos in SLO County, but also so many creative ways we can incorporate activities you love doing together into them. This is SO helpful, especially if youâre nervous about being in front of the camera. Taking the focus off the âphotoshootâ aspect of things and putting it onto your love for each other, and shared love for whatever the heck it is (wine tasting? off-roading? kayaking? climbing?), is a great way to make things feel so much more natural. We highly recommend it :)
