A few weeks ago, I had the honor of second shooting for Will and Savannah, the wonderful folks who make up Cobblestone Productions! Together, we teamed up to photograph Tony & Emily’s Higuera Ranch wedding in the foothills outside of San Luis Obispo. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the two exchanged vows to each other, and celebrated their union on a warm fall evening.

Their wedding day began for both of them on the Higuera Ranch property, the guys in the red barn and the girls in the main house. Emily and her ladies wore matching silk robes and giggled with excitement as they got ready for the day. Just a few hundred feet away, Tony and the guys were doing the same (maybe with a little less giggling involved). Emily and Tony exchanged gifts to one another: Emily gave Tony his late grandfather’s ring to be married with, and Tony gave Emily a new pair of earrings, which she decided to wear immediately!

One of the most emotional moments of the day came as Emily shared a first look with her son, Ari, and her father. They took in the moment before heading over to the lawn at Higuera Ranch for their intimate, sun soaked ceremony. Tony & Emily exchanged personal vows to one another, and Tony even made vows to Ari, officially adopting Emily’s son as his own. This moment left everyone in tears!

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers passed by the folks at Haute Skillet. Emily, Tony, and their bridal party took photos before everyone headed to the reception. As the sun set over Higuera Ranch, Emily & Tony made their way up to the hills for their golden hour portraits before joining everyone back at the barn for dinner. Emotional toasts were shared by Emily & Tony’s fathers and Emily’s maid of honor, before the entire wedding erupted into near constant laughter when Tony’s brother and best man gave his speech. Emily shared a first dance with Ari and then with Tony, before both Emily and Tony danced with their father and mother, respectively. The evening concluded with an epic 90s country playlist and Sugar Lips donuts!
