An "Elegant Explosion" Vineyard Wedding | Tia & Peter
A wedding theme to perfectly compliment Tia & Peter’s vibrant personalities-
That is how I will define the term “elegant explosion” from here on out. These two, wow, they are so special! We met Tia & Peter via FaceTime (us in our gym parking lot of all places, lol), and immediately fell in love with these two. They sent us into our workout that followed with more energy than any amount of pre-workout ever could. These two are kind, fun, vibrant, and most of all, so in love with each other. We were so honored when they asked us to document their wedding weekend, one so unique and special I’m not sure we’ll ever see anything like it again.
Tia & Peter are from Chicago, so naturally a wedding in their beloved city was what everyone imagined they’d do after they got engaged, but these two had a better idea. Tia’s extended family owns a winery in Paso Robles, and her vision for their day included vineyards, rolling hills for miles, and an epic party to match the picturesque location. And so the planning for these two to travel to the west coast with all their closest family, friends, and the best wedding band we’ve ever seen play began.
The day began with Tia and Peter and their close family and friends getting ready in two incredibly scenic Paso Robles AirBnbs with views of hills and vines, just how they wanted it to be. After getting ready, the whole crew made their way over to a nearby church for a Catholic wedding ceremony. Afterward, guests tossed lavender into the air as Tia & Peter made their way to a vintage Bentley that would transport them to the winery for their after-party.
Glunz Winery was transformed into a wedding venue, with a gorgeous clear tent and all kinds of color. Tia incorporated an elegant touch of disco into her wedding with their checker-board dance floor and little disco balls everywhere. Vibrant floral arrangements brought the tent to life, with touches of orange and salmon and literal tangerines adorning the tables and greater event space. The scene was set for a real party, and that is exactly what happened.
After all the emotional toasts and special dances, Tia’s father got the evening going with a chant reminiscent of Oktoberfest. The Tuesdays, Tia & Peter’s epic wedding band, kept the light hearted tunes flowing as guests danced until Paso Robles’ “quiet hours,” at which point DJs took over to keep the party going. According to Tia, “we hope to just have as much fun as possible while soaking it all in until as late as we can (because who wants their wedding to end!? Haha).” And that is exactly what these two and all their people did.
