Morro Bay Engagement Session | Meg & Lochlan
When Meg & Lochlan chose Morro Bay for their engagement session, we were already excited, it’s one of our absolute favorite locations for photos! And then they shared with us their vision for their photos, and we became even more excited! They wanted to ride their horses into the ocean as the sun set over Morro Rock behind them. Y’all, my HEART!!!!
We are all about the fun, unique photo sessions, and this one was exactly that. Lochlan grew up on a ranch in SLO and met Meg while the two were in college at Cal Poly. Meg was on the rodeo team, and both were in the college of agriculture. Four and a half years ago, Lochlan asked Meg to be his girlfriend on a hill overlooking Morro Bay and Los Osos, and now they are planning their wedding together.
The two wanted their engagement session to encapsulate all the unique details of their story: the place they first fell in love, their horses, which have become such a big part of their life, and their easy going, adventurous attitudes. Have I already mentioned that they were the ideal couple for us?
I pulled up to the ranch and was greeted by the cutest pack of dogs. Things were already off to a great start. Then Meg pointed to the top of a majestic peak I’d only ever admired from afar and told me “get in the gator, we’re heading up there!” DREAM. SHOOT. We spent the better part of an hour cruising all over the untouched landscape, dodging trees and cows before heading back down to get the horses ready to drive over to Morro Bay!
We reached a rare sunny Morro Bay for the dreamiest sunset, and had the time of our lives running around in the water with the horses. Every shoot gives me a little high, but this one just hit different. Keep scrolling to see the absolute magic from the engagement session of my literal dreams.
