Joyful Montana de Oro Engagement Session | Amy & Peter
Amy & Peter absolutely exude joy when they around each other,
the bright vibes they give off are nothing but contagious. These two have been long distance their entire relationship, and it’s so evident how much they truly make the most of the time they do have together. Fortunately for these two, long distance is ending SOON, because they’ll be getting married this fall. We could not be more excited for this wedding, especially after the incredible evening we had with them as we took their engagement photos!
Amy & Peter were set up by their moms. Yes, you’re reading that correctly. Both of them are pastors’ kids, and this network led their mothers to meet, despite living states away. Amy’s mom was able to meet Peter and thought he’d make a great match for Amy. After telling Peter’s mom all about her daughter, they agreed to try to set up the two. Though reluctant at first, Amy & Peter connected over Facebook, and a friendship was born.
They spent a few months talking all the time, and Amy, working virtually, made the trip out to Montana, where Peter lives, for a few months in the winter and spring to see if things would work out for them, and to see if she could survive living in the cold dark north. As you can probably imagine, things went better than simply working out, these two fell more in love with each other, and got engaged at the end of Amy’s time in Montana, before they road tripped back down the California coast together.
When we met these two, a quick wedding consultation call turned into one of the best conversations we’d ever had. It was so fun hearing their story, about their faith journeys, and sharing about our own lives. We went real deep, and to say these two were a perfect match for us is an understatement. We could not wait to meet them at their engagement session.
The deep conversation we experienced during their consultation call ensued the minute we met up with them on an overcast Friday evening in Montana de Oro. Though the weather outside was a bit frightful, the vibrant evening full of good conversation, so many laughs, and witnessing Amy & Peter’s love for each other brightened up our days like you wouldn’t believe.
We adventured all around Montana de Oro, showing these two our favorite beachy spots, taking them up on the bluffs, and watching whales breaching off in the distance. It was a stunning evening, and the vibrant colors we were able to capture matched the vibe perfectly. We are so excited for Amy & Peter’s wedding this fall, and are so grateful to call these two our friends!
